Psalm 30
A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. Of David. [a]
1 I will exalt you, O LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help
and you healed me.
3 O LORD, you brought me up from the grave [b] ;
you spared me from going down into the pit.
4 Sing to the LORD, you saints of his;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may remain for a night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
6 When I felt secure, I said,
"I will never be shaken."
7 O LORD, when you favored me,
you made my mountain [c] stand firm;
but when you hid your face,
I was dismayed.
8 To you, O LORD, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:
9 "What gain is there in my destruction, [d]
in my going down into the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10 Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me;
O LORD, be my help."
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
See you in a week <3
I haven't seen something like this before and I wonder if it happens often and what it means to these people...

Un-funny shipping fees aside, I'm very happy I bought this single. I paid special attention to the information given about these tracks during promotion and now feel very attached to the songs and the meaning behind them. They'll get played by me much more and I'm already enjoying them much more than if I had only had the mp3s.
Also, this is the first cd case I've seen that opens to the right! :O (All my other foreign albums open just like Western cases. No idea why this one doesn't.)
Korean Sociology Through Gender, Advertising and Popular Culture
Using some news articles, other culture blogs and the same darn gossip and music blogs that I read, this guy manages to dig much deeper into - well - everything I find intriguing about Korean media than I ever could.
Some of the things he mentions (censorship excesses, trends in alcohol advertising, the truly tragic Choi Jin Sil story) would inevitably have been noticed by any Korean entertainment hobbyist, but others - such as complaints about the treatment of (western) foreigners or insight in the GLBT scene - can only be found via these more academic (and also very gloomy) blogs by expatriats.
In how many cases these posts can provide meaningful assertions about life across the
It's impressive how these kind of people try to raise awareness of issues that most would not only rather avoid, but that as foreigners they are also barely able to fight. Much respect also for their ability to love the country they emigrated to despite hardship...
But I can start learning how to play this now. And maybe do it better.
( And this is interesting because? )
This is pretty much my first serious attempt at lineart:

(based on these ugly, ugly tour outfits)
Keeping things clean was rather difficult. I have the habit of sketching like a maniac.
That´s how I taught myself to keep drawing.

Hot? Not hot? Who knows! But I do feel a bit more encouraged to cut my hair short now.
( Things unrelated to my Intelligent Film Review )
The problems I encountered after installation were:
- my Windows XP SP 2 limited the streaming so I had to download a fix for that
- the TVAnts player tends to give me popups and ads instead of the stream itself, so I copy the URL to WMP and play it there.
If you have a slow connection or computer don't expect smooth streaming but the quality of the audio and video are good. Online guides tell you to add 'trackers' for more channels. I can't tell you if that's only necesary for football. So far I've only tried out MNet - as evident from my squealing - so not sure if the Japanese channels 'work' (I'll be trying NHK soon) but I don't see why they wouldn't.
Hope you like and can make it work. Don't forget to thank fandom!
General update: this year I've been trying to keep up with jrock fandom and I spend enough time on TVXQ to feel part of the kpop fandom. Otherwise I spent most of my RL time listening to music, studying japanese, japanese fashion and church activities... *thinks* yeah, that's sufficient. Oh, I'm not into anime and I'm not into any tv shows and books. Sorreh.
I've never kept up with my f-list, so I don't know why there are still so many people who haven't de-friended me. :P I've thought about cleaning out my own friend's list and locking whatever I post here up, because, like I said, I'm doing this more or less for myself. But considering the fact nothing spectacular is going to happen here, I figured it was too much trouble. I also don't want to decide so early on where I want to be going with this.
Basically I'm inviting anyone who wants to to de-friend me while you aren't annoyed with me yet to please go ahead... unless you have a hidden interest in girls who dress up like dolls and boys who wear pink pajamas with blue elephants on them. I can help you with that and.. pretty much only that. ^_^
